Another season has past in the Rally America Championship and once more, KAPS Transmissions produced a stellar result.
In all, there are 9 races in the Rally America Championship, KAPS Transmissions won 8!
KAPS Transmissions with Travis Pastrana and the Subaru Rally Team USA was dominate from the very first race of the season - Sno* Drift National Rally, and never surrendered the lead.
It is a true reflection of the workmanship, engineering and quality that goes into all KAPS Transmissions products. “We are extremely pleased to consolidate our number one position in the Rally America championship and continuing to increase our profile amongst the American Subaru and Mitsubishi racing markets” remarks Jiri Kotouc, managing director of KAPS Transmissions. “We have the reputation for having the highest quality dog kits and with guys like Travis Pastrana and especially Ken Block behind the wheel giving the gearboxes a beating, it reinforces that reputation.”
Along with the 8 out of 9 victories, KAPS Transmissions secured 15 out of a possible 27 podium positions! That is, 88% of the time, KAPS took the victory and more than 55% of the time, KAPS filled the podium.
New to KAPS Transmissions this season was the private driver William Bacon. Mid season, he picked up his new Evo IX kit and first race with the new kit managed to pick up his first podium position. “My first time with a dogbox, and what a difference!” William Bacon.
When asked about KAPS Transmissions, Travis Pastrana responded “Our team uses KAPS because the service support is very good, and the transmissions are very good; they are the strongest and shift very nicely“
Special mention also must be given to Andi Mancin driving in his Evo IX. Second positions in the Rally America championship is a fantastic achievement. The training and experience attained from the European rally racing in previous seasons ensured the Polish driver was never too far away from the top of the points.
